Meeting with stakeholders of community safety

The obsolescence of technology is a hindrance to establishing sustained stability to allow development to push forward.

This is the gist of a presentation provided to stakeholders of peace and order, safety and security in the level of the community, at the level of the grassroots.

It was explained that new platforms that will increase both social access and mobility need to be put in place and these will benefit a large number of stakeholders.

Among these are hardware and software for communications, the actual infrastructure for the various modes of communications and the integration of such modes such that stakeholders owning and using lower generation equipment will be able to talk to other stakeholders using higher capability, and state-of-the-art equipment.

Much needs to be done on this score however the hurdle will lie more in developing databases, prioritizing the areas where the first activities, efforts will be concentrated.

At the end of the conference it was concluded what specific order of stakeholder groups will have to move first and which groups will follow through with their share of the tasks.

The spokesperson of the Philippine National Police, Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. acted as the presiding officer during the conference held at the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management (DICTM) at 10:00 am to 1:pm on March 4, 2013. A number of Philippine National Police units participated in the affair with Centre di Humanes et Societas, Inc. providing the presentation to the assembled group.
